Case Discussion

This benign phyllodes tumour is a typical example. Instead of pericanalicular or intracanalicular architecture seen in fibroadenomas, there are large epithelial clefts with a peri-epithelial zone of increased stromal cellularity. Leaf-like growth is focal, and stromal cellularity is mildly increased without mitotic activity.
