Lymphocytic mastopathy, also commonly known as “diabetic mastopathy” is a fibrous breast mass with lymphocytic infiltrate that is most commonly associated with either diabetes or non-diabetes autoimmune diseases. Its presence is therefore not entirely specific for diabetes. The diagnostic features of prominent keloid-like fibrosis, prominent lymphocytic infiltrate, and epithelioid change in the stromal myofibroblasts can all be seen in this slide.
