Case Discussion

Lobular capillary hemangioma (also known as pyogenic granuloma) is a benign lobular proliferation of capillary-sized blood vessels that surround a central branching vessel. Thought to arise secondary to local trauma (reactive neoplastic process), lobular capillary hemangiomas grow rapidly. The blood vessels are lined by bland endothelial cells.
