Case Discussion

A traumatic neuroma is a benign soft tissue neoplasm of nerve fibers or Schwann cells that typically occurs after trauma or surgery. Sections show a poorly circumscribed mass composed of a haphazardly arranged nerve fascicles with surrounding fibrosis. Acanthotic acral skin lies superficially to the lesion.
