Case Discussion

Hidrocystoma (Cystadenoma) is a benign cyst, presenting as dome-shaped, translucent papules with bluish hue. They are commonly found on eyelids. The lesion is comprised of a unilocular cyst, lined by columnar epithelium with apocrine features, with the typical "snouts".

While a number of authors have used the cystadenoma and hidrocystoma interchangeably, some advocate for distinguishing the lesions with more complex architecture in the forms of papillary projections, with higher mitotic rate within the secretory cells, specifically as (apocrine) cystadenoma.
