Ascites and peritoneal carcinomatosis. Elevated CA-125. Indeterminate ovarian lesion on imaging.
This patient presented with a clinical history suspicious for an ovarian malignancy, and within the patient's chart, it was stated that she had a 'recent diagnosis of advanced ovarian cancer'. Of note, the patient has a history of a T1bN0 grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma and lobular carcinoma in situ two years prior to her current presentation.
Cytology (at an outside hospital) of her paracentesis fluid showed the following immunohistochemistry profile:
Positive for CK7, PAX8 (moderate), and WT1 (moderate).
Negative for S100, CD45, CD20, CD3, CDX2, TTF1.
