Testis, large cell calcifying Sertoli cell tumour
Details
Disease Category
Gender
Clinical History

12-year-old male with multiple, bilateral, testicular masses.

Case Discussion

Large cell calcifying Sertoli cell tumours are unusual sex-cord stromal neoplasms of the testis, of uncertain malignant potential. Histologically, they are composed of solid tubules or nests of cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and prominent nucleoli. As the name suggests, calcifications are common. The young patient age and multifocality suggest an underlying genetic syndrome. Large cell calcifying Sertoli cell tumours are associated with both Carney complex and Peutz-Jeghers syndrome.
